The Central Inspectorate of Market Surveillance, within the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, has today conducted a wide inspection action in cooperation with the Kosovo Tax Administration and the Competition Authority.

The purpose of this action, according to the official announcement, was to supervise the implementation of the decision to temporarily regulate the prices of petroleum products and to establish protective measures, with a focus on protecting consumers, increasing transparency in the market and ensuring fair competition.

"The action was carried out based on the decision of the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, and focused on over 25 economic operators throughout the territory of Kosovo, including fuel traders for transportation," the announcement states.

The Inspectorate has acted in close coordination with Kosovo Customs, the Tax Administration and the Competition Authority, ensuring that every action is effective and coordinated.

"The Inspectorate will continue monitoring the market to protect the health and safety of citizens, to combat informality and to eliminate unfair trade practices. In any case where a violation of the law is found, inspectors will take punitive measures according to the legislation in force," the announcement states.

The institution has confirmed that such actions will continue in the future, with the aim of strengthening the rule of law and creating an orderly and secure environment for economic development in Kosovo. /Telegrafi/
