Macedonian Chamber of Commerce seeks to be included in new investment projects

The Chamber of Commerce requires that business be present with at least 70 percent of the work in new projects and investments that North Macedonia will agree with the United Kingdom within the framework of the strategic partnership.
The President of the Chamber of Commerce says they will be satisfied if companies in the country find jobs and have the opportunity to compete abroad.
He adds that they expect this strategic partnership to increase the number of companies.
"We are objective and realistic, we expect miracles to happen and to have more companies than there are, so that we can be satisfied that our companies find work, whether 70, 65 or 55 jobs, that what they do is done with quality and that they have the opportunity to compete for other projects outside Macedonia. We believe that the construction sector, especially in the engineering sector, has been neglected in the tenders that have been held in the past period. Our companies, except as subcontractors, have not received any important projects and this has affected the situation of these companies. We have practically lost large construction companies and they are not as competitive as we all expected", said Branko Azeski - Chamber of Commerce.
