Today (Thursday), November 27, the acting Government of Kosovo held its 277th meeting, also awarding a prize to the Kosovo National Team after securing the play-off phase for qualification for the 2026 World Cup.

The Kosovo national team has closed the World Cup qualifiers in second place in Group B, behind Switzerland, thus securing the play-off stage.

After the draw was made a few days ago in Zurich, Switzerland, the Dardanelles will face the Slovakian National Team in the semifinals, while in case of victory in the grand final for qualification, they will play the winner of the Turkey-Romania match.

For this success of the national team, the acting Government of Kosovo has decided to award a bonus of 250 thousand euros, and this was confirmed by the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, during the 277th meeting.

"For the historic success in this 2026 World Cup qualification campaign, advancing to the play-off stage, by government decision today we will distribute 250 thousand euros in reward," Kurti initially said.

"We enter the next phase with full confidence, we are expressing our trust in them with our commitment to them. First, in case of victory over Slovakia, we pledge a reward of 500 thousand euros and secondly, in case of qualification for the World Cup, we pledge another 1 million euros in reward," concluded the acting prime minister. /Telegraph/
