Israel's president, Isaac Herzog, has invited billionaire Elon Musk to join negotiations for the release of Israeli hostages from Gaza.

According to CNN, Herzog called Musk a few "days ago" in order to resume negotiations as soon as possible with Hamas.

The reason for the invitation is, as they point out, the influence of the African-American in the administration of the newly elected American president, Donald Trump.

By the way, Trump promised to "stop the war in Palestine", as well as other wars in the world, including Russian aggression against Ukraine.

It is worth noting that Musk was an important part of the Republican team, and since winning the presidential election, he has taken on an even more important role.

Among other things, he also spoke with the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, when he called to congratulate Trump on his victory.

As for the Israeli hostages still in Gaza, it is estimated that there are slightly more than 100 of them, including seven American citizens.

In a recent announcement, Trump has warned that he will make life hell for Palestinian militants if the hostages are not released by his inauguration, on January 20.
