The German Embassy reacts to the election of Braho as head of SPAK

The German Embassy in Albania has reacted to the election of Klodjan Braho as the new head of the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), expressing congratulations and full support for the institution.
In the official statement, the Embassy qualifies the fight against corruption and organized crime as essential for Albania's accession process to the European Union, a process that Germany strongly supports.
"Congratulations to the newly elected head of the SPAK Special Prosecution Office, Klodjan Braho, today. The determined fight against corruption and organized crime is of exceptional importance from Germany's perspective for Albania's integration into the EU," the reaction reads.
The Embassy emphasizes that integrity, independence and respect for the highest standards of the rule of law remain paramount for SPAK, while congratulating Braho and the entire SPAK team on the ambitious task ahead.
"I wish much success to Klodjan Braho and all SPAK employees, as well as fruitful cooperation with Albanian and international institutions," the statement continues.
The German Embassy also expresses its gratitude to the High Prosecutorial Council, evaluating the selection process as transparent and in the service of strengthening justice in Albania.
