Kryeziu: The February 9 elections, an example for Southeast Europe

Former Deputy President of the Constitutional Court, Kadri Kryeziu, says that the elections held on February 9 in Kosovo have set an example for Southeast Europe.

Meanwhile, regarding the delays being caused in the vote counting, as well as the problems on the CEC website, Kryeziu says that they should not be of a political nature, because the electoral process would not be completely regular.

"The elections in the Republic of Kosovo have set an example for Southeast Europe, respectively for the Western Balkans. We have the primary for good elections, free and democratic and also acceptable to political entities. These software problems seem more technical to me, I don't want to doubt that they have a political character, but that could also happen. Otherwise, if they have a political character, it is not good, because it hurts the electoral process, which has been one of the best processes in Southeast Europe," he said on Tevë1.

Meanwhile, he said that the CEC must be transparent and demonstrate efficiency in the smooth running of the vote counting process.

"These delays create a little reception, which raises doubts about what and why is happening. It is not good to be late, we need to be more efficient," he said.
