The European giant is winning the race for Nico Williams, ready to offer 10 million euros per year
Nico Williams has finally decided to leave Athletic Bilbao during the summer transfer window.
The Spanish star wants to take a step forward in his career and sign for a team where he could compete to win trophies.
Bayern Munich have made a huge offer for Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams. According to El Nacional, the German giants are prepared to pay the Spaniard €10m per year.
Barcelona have long shown interest in Williams, but the Catalan club are unable to afford such personal terms due to their financial situation.
Williams himself does not hide his desire to wear the colors of Barcelona, but he is not willing to take a pay cut and hopes a solution can be found.
The Bavarians are now the favorite team to secure the services of Nico Williams, although big English clubs such as Arsenal and Chelsea have also expressed interest in the player.
The current Bundesliga leader, on the other hand, is willing to pay the player's release clause of 58 million euros. /Telegraph/
