The Erzen River floods Sukthi and Katundi i Ri, 842 residents evacuated

High flows in the Erzen River continue to create problems in the Juba/Katund i Ri and Rrushkull/Sukth areas, where the river has water outflows.
The Porto Romano and Hamallaj hydroelectric plants are operating at full capacity.
About 2,500 hectares of agricultural land have been flooded in Sukth and Katund i Ri.
448 specialists, 111 people from the municipality and enterprises, 80 from the UKD, 70 municipal police, 70 state police, 80 OSHEE employees and 37 Armed Forces personnel have been engaged in the field. Family doctors are also on standby.
The number of evacuated residents has reached 842 people, of which 299 are with family members and 543 others are sheltered in:
Cavalry: 251 people
Holiday Home: 85 people
FAFA Hotel: 178 people
Hotel Bonita: 29 people
Evacuations have been carried out gradually since January 6, with the largest number being 251 people.
The Directorate of State Reserves has provided 700 food packages for the affected residents.

The damage verification process continues on the ground, while authorities request maximum caution from citizens and remain on alert for emergency situations.
