The “Diaspora Economic Forum” informational meeting was held – an important step for cooperation between local businesses and the diaspora

Representatives of local businesses, diaspora and local entrepreneurs and investors gathered at the Innovation Centre Kosovo (ICK) to discuss the importance of the Diaspora Economic Forum (DEF), an important event to be held in April 2026 in the city of Bern, Switzerland.

Kristian Kabashi, from Numarics who participated in this informational meeting, in a statement to Telegrafi expressed his opinion on the importance of this forum.

"It's quite late that they are holding this forum because, as they themselves said, 15 thousand companies in Switzerland, even if we didn't have a forum for each other, to come together and do business with each other, it's normal that we wouldn't have needed to cooperate with the Swiss at all if Albanians had worked with each other," said Kabashi.

On the other hand, Fisnik Salihu, representative of DEF, provided details to the Telegraph about the event that will be held in Switzerland.

He announced that the two-day event will take place on April 16 and 17, 2026 in Bern, Switzerland.

Salihu emphasized that, although this event may not seem like a perfect event at first, it is part of a long and important history for the Albanian diaspora.

"This event may not be seen as a perfect event, but this is all part of the long-term story. DEF itself, I am very sure, will evolve and improve because ultimately DEF is not a project done by just one person, it is a project of unity...
