Kamberi: The DASH report hits Serbia hard for systematic discrimination against Albanians

The Albanian deputy in the Parliament of Serbia, Shaip Kamberi, has said that the American State Department in the Report on Human Rights Practices for 2022, has emphasized the ethnic discrimination of Albanians.
Kamberi stated that in the Report on Serbia, in the section entitled "Systemic Racial or Ethnic Violence and Discrimination" (pages 30-32), Serbia is severely criticized for the systematic state and institutional discrimination that, as he said, has been implemented against the Albanians of the Presevo Valley over the years.
"'Ethnic Albanians were subject to discrimination and unemployment... The government unfairly subjected Albanians to passivization in order to reduce the number of ethnic Albanians living in Serbia," the State Department report states, Kamberi writes.
"'The application of this law to target Albanians amounts to ethnic cleansing through administrative measures,' as highlighted in the report of the Serbian Helsinki Commission, the report continues, stressing that 'Serbian authorities must stop all discriminatory practices against ethnic minorities,' including "insulting and hate speech," mainly used publicly by Serbian state officials such as the head of the Serbian Intelligence Service (BIA) A. Vulin," the MP wrote on Facebook.
Furthermore, Kamberi said that the DASH report also underlines the issue of the underrepresentation of Albanians in public and state institutions, which "is the rudest form of discrimination and non-respect of the obligations towards the Albanian community, which Serbia has received with the three agreements signed with the Albanian representatives: 2001, 2009 and 2013". /Telegrafi/
