The British Minister for Europe demands a full and urgent investigation into the attack on the Ibër-Lepenc canal

The UK Minister for Europe, North America and the UK Territories, Stephen Doughty, has condemned the terrorist attack on the Ibër-Lepenci Canal in Zubin Potok on Friday.

British Minister Doughty has called the attack on the water channel terrible.

According to him, this attack was aimed at disrupting life in Kosovo.

"Successful efforts by emergency workers to contain the damage have restored vital infrastructure. There must be an urgent full investigation. Those who are responsible must be held accountable," he wrote on the "X" platform, Telegraph reports.

Even the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, has reacted to the attack on the Ibër-Lepenci canal in Zubin Potok, expressing concern for the possible consequences it may have for the supply of energy and water throughout Kosovo.

In a post on the Facebook social network, Hargreaves emphasized that this act has the potential to cause serious damage, endangering the stability of important services for communities in Kosovo.

"The serious incident in Zubin Potok tonight has potentially serious consequences for the supply of energy and water to various communities in many parts of Kosovo. Any deliberate attack on critical infrastructure must be investigated quickly," added Hargreaves.

Kosovo's critical infrastructure experienced the biggest terrorist attack since the post-war period, as the Ibër-Lepenci canal was damaged with explosives.

The Kosovo Police has secured evidence and arrested eight suspects for this attack. Meanwhile, the heads of state have blamed Serbia for the attack. /Telegraph/
