US Army rescues three-year-old girl from floods in Honduras

A three-year-old girl was rescued from a flooded Honduran town by the US Army.

According to foreign media, Telegraph reports, the emotional moment shows the American soldier holding the child as the two took off for the Blackhawk helicopter on Friday; event comes after tropical storm Eta hit the Central American country.

US soldiers then reportedly brought the child's family to a helicopter before flying them to a safer area, away from the city of Lima in the northern department of Cortez.


Aerial footage showed stranded families seeking shelter on their rooftops in San Pedro Sula on Saturday, awaiting rescue teams and armed forces from the Honduran government. /telegraph/
