The Committee for the Investigation of Air Accidents and Serious Incidents (KHAAIS) has launched an investigation after a small sport aircraft crashed yesterday into Lake Mavrovo.
The Chairman of the Committee, Marjan Prposki, in a statement to MIA said that the crew of the plane is not in danger of life. "The plane is privately owned and has American registration plates. The crew is not in danger," Prposki declared, warning that more information from the investigation will be released in the coming days.
The Tetovo Department of Internal Affairs (SPB) announced that two people have been taken to the Gostivar hospital due to injuries sustained during the crash of a sports plane into Lake Mavrovo.
"According to reports, two Kosovo citizens, JP (41) and DM (64), who was piloting the aircraft, managed to get out of the plane on the ground. They suffered injuries and were transported to the Gostivar hospital for medical treatment," said the spokesman for the Tetovo SPB, Fatmir Rexhepi.
