At the UBT Science, Innovation and Technology Park in Lipjan, the 7th International Congress TURKIC COSE 2025 (Turkic World Congress on Science and Engineering) officially opened, one of the most important scientific events in the region that has brought together dozens of university rectors, professors, researchers and institutional representatives from many countries around the world.


This prestigious congress is taking place from November 13–15, 2025, under the joint organization of UBT, Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University (NOHU) from Turkey, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University from Kyrgyzstan and Ahmet Yesevi University (AYU) from Kazakhstan.

The solemn opening ceremony was attended by high academic and institutional personalities, including the Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu, Rector of Niğde University Ömer Halisdemir (Turkey), Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Rector of Kyrgyz-Turk Manas University, Prof. Dr. Vilayət Məmməd oğlu Vəliyev, Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University, Prof. Dr. Naci Genc, ​​Vice-Rector of Ahmed Yesevi University (Kazakhstan); as well as representatives from Kyiv Technical University and other international institutions from Europe, Asia and Africa.

In his welcoming speech, the Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, stated that the congress represents an important platform for academic cooperation and scientific exchange between the countries of the Turkic world and the Balkan region.

"It is a special pleasure and honor that we welcome today at UBT such an international event as TÜRK-COSE 2025. This congress brings together the brightest minds in science, technology, engineering and innovation, and aims to build new bridges of international cooperation. UBT is committed to remaining a center of excellence where theory and practice, education and industry, as well as academic vision and social development, meet to build a better future for all", he emphasized.

After Rector Hajrizi, Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu, Rector of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University (NOHU), took the floor, who emphasized the role of this congress in strengthening scientific cooperation between the countries of the Turkic world:

“Today, many prominent scientists from the Turkic world, as well as from Asia, Africa and Europe, have gathered here in Pristina to share knowledge and promote academic interaction. TURK-COSE 2025 focuses on strategic topics such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, nanotechnology, smart cities and renewable energy. This event is a testament to the academic and scientific unity between our nations.”, he said.

While Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Rector of Kyrgyz-Turk Manas University, in his speech emphasized the transformative role of science and technology in the era of artificial intelligence:

"We live in a time when science is no longer satisfied with observing nature, but creates systems that learn and think. Artificial intelligence has become the common language of all sciences. Congresses like this are laboratories of ideas, where the discoveries of the future are born and where bridges of cooperation between generations of scientists are built.", he stressed.

Following this, Prof. Dr. Naci Genc, ​​Vice-Rector of Ahmed Yesevi University, appreciated the importance of the conference for promoting regional and international cooperation:

"Events like TÜRK-COSE not only promote the sharing of academic knowledge, but also strengthen friendship and partnership between our nations. I am convinced that the ideas, presentations and collaborations that will arise here will positively impact the scientific and technological development of the region", he declared.

The main organizer of the congress, Prof. Dr. Murat Barut from Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, emphasized that this year's edition includes a rich program with over 14 thematic sessions covering broad areas such as: engineering and technology, architecture and sustainable environment, medicine and biotechnology, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, natural sciences and renewable energy.

Over 150 scientific papers will be presented within the framework of the congress, with physical and virtual participation of researchers from Turkey, Kosovo, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and other countries in the Eurasian region.

By organizing this congress, UBT once again proves its role as an international center of academic excellence and innovation, strengthening Kosovo's position as an important node in the global network of scientific and technological cooperation.
