After the government meeting, the Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, gave clarifications in a press conference regarding the 13th salary and the procedures for pensioners to apply.

Murati emphasized that the 13th salary will be received by workers who receive a salary from the state budget and who have worked for at least 12 months.

"This salary is intended for those who have received 12 salaries during the year. If someone has just started working, the 13th salary will be given next year," said Murati.

Regarding the reporting of pensioners, Murati explained that the Ministry of Finance and Transfers has made legal changes to exempt them from periodic reporting every six months, following the Supreme Court's decision.

"The Supreme Court's decision has only repealed one article in the administrative instruction that required the reporting of contributory pensioners every six months, which was not in accordance with the law. The provision for the reporting of basic pensioners remains in force, as this is stipulated in the law," said Murati.

He added that all necessary clarifications have been provided and that all measures have been taken to implement the decisions correctly and in accordance with the law.

Otherwise, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, in today's meeting, while presenting the budget for 2026, stated that the 13th salary will also be included.

He said that this salary will be executed as soon as the budget comes into force. /Telegraph/
