Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is the largest celebratory event of entrepreneurship in the world, which brings together entrepreneurs, innovators, employers, policy-makers and other actors with the aim of developing new ideas, creating of new jobs, increased well-being and development. GEW began as a movement in 2007 at the initiative of the Kauffman Foundation and the Administration of President Barack Obama, at the time of the global economic crisis.

In Kosovo, under the leadership of Innovation Centre Kosovo (ICK) as the official host of GEW in the country, over 20 events will be organized during the week of November 17-23, by 25 partner organizations and companies. GEW 2025 is supported by TEB Bank, Coca-Cola HBC Kosova, British Council, and Ibas. Telegrafi is the media sponsor of #GEW2025.


Some of the main events include:

Monday, November 17

  • Official opening from 09:30 at the "Sonder" bar in Pristina
  • Annual meeting of the “Western Balkans Startup Alliance”
  • Startup Grind with entrepreneurs Blendrit and Rilind Elezaj at ICK, from 19:00 PM

Tuesday, November 18

  • The eighth generation of the “OriginAL” program from Germin for the Diaspora begins in the ICK spaces.
  • The Kosovo-Japan Business Forum begins its work in Pristina, organized by KIESA and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO)

Wednesday, November 19

  • At the American Chamber of Commerce from 14:00 PM the event "Tech Rising: Innovation and Startups"
  • ICK and Propulsion hold closed training on "Human Resources in Businesses"
  • The premiere of episode 3 of the documentary is shown Scaling Across Borders

Thursday, November 20

  • The Faculty of Economics of the University of Pristina holds the panel discussion "Entrepreneurship through storytelling", with Prof. Dr. Besnik Krasniqi, and former students who are now successful entrepreneurs.
  • Cacttus Education organizes the “Pitch Your Idea” competition – click to register here.
  • In Prizren (ITP), Makerspace Innovation Center organizes the event "The Importance of Data in Business Decision-Making" from 17:00
  • The American Chamber of Commerce from 13:00 PM is holding a discussion with Rasim Merlaku, Marigona Hill.
  • Also at the American Chamber of Commerce, from 14:00 PM, the discussion "Negotiation and Leadership in Entrepreneurship" will be held, with Blerim Zogaj, Kreshnik Gashi, Petrit Sinani, Arbnir Xhema, and Qendresa Smajli Gashi.

Friday, November 21

  • British Council and ICK organize the “HER Digital Shield” activity for women and girls in cybersecurity. To register, click here here.
  • The American Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event "Barriers Nobody Wants to Talk About" on Saturday from 14:00 p.m.

Over the weekend, Innovation Centre Kosovo will host the 20th edition of “FuckupNights Prishtina” on Saturday, while the week will conclude on Sunday with hiking from the entrepreneurial community, in Bjeshkët e Nemuna, Deçan.
