Weekly conferences have begun at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague in the cases against Hashim Thaçi, Bashkim Smakaj, Fadil Fazliu, Isni Kilaj and Hajredin Kuçi against the administration of justice.
While the parties were discussing the motions and deadlines for submitting oral evidence, Hashim Thaçi raised his hand, asking for the floor.
"I believe Mr. Thaçi raised his hand," said the sole judge in this case, Christoph Gosnell.
"It's true, he told me he wanted to make a brief comment, I don't know if you'll give him the floor now. It's not directly related to the calendar issue," said his lawyer, Sophie Menegon.
But Judge Gosnell said that Thaçi will be given the opportunity to intervene, but only at the end of today's session.
"I suggest that we continue with the agenda and Mr. Thaçi will be given the opportunity to make an intervention at the end of today's session," the judge said.
Physically present in the courtroom at this session are Fadil Fazliu and Isni Kilaj, while Hashim Thaçi, Bashkim Smakaj and Hajredin Kuçi are present via video link, as are some of the lawyers. /rtk/
