Tetovo, viruses and allergies increase the number of patients in the hospital

Unsteady temperatures, various allergies during the spring period, and seasonal viruses have increased the number of patients seeking help at the Tetovo Hospital, says doctor Bekim Ismaili. According to him, patients mostly complain of coughing, sneezing, breathing problems, watery eyes, and nasal secretions.

"With the arrival of greenery, we are faced with seasonal allergies that are related to seasonal viruses, and this has led to an increase in the number of patients who come and frequent our clinics. We have an increase in patients who come specifically for these concerns that come to our clinics. We have an increase in patients and they have those symptoms that appear specifically as a result of temperature changes and various allergens. Patients who come with coughing, sneezing, problems with the respiratory system, with nasal secretions and watery eyes which are a combination of both seasonal viruses and spring allergens" - emphasized doctor Bekim Ismaili.

Doctor Ismaili appeals that people suffering from various allergens during this period should not frequent parks and green spaces, and if they decide to go out, to wear protective masks.

"We advise patients who know they have problems with seasonal allergies to start taking the appropriate therapy early and to take preventive measures against seasonal allergens, which, if accompanied by seasonal viruses, further aggravate the patient's health condition. These patients should avoid going outdoors in places where there is greenery or at least wear protective masks," stated Dr. Ismaili.

Ismaili says that unlike previous decades, the number of patients affected by various allergies is now increasing. /RTVM2
