Tesla's dominance in the European electric car market is fading.
This conclusion can at least be drawn based on new data from analytics firm JATO showing that Tesla sales fell by 38% in the first quarter of 2025, with only 53,237 vehicles registered.
Meanwhile, Volkswagen came out on top with 65,679 electric cars sold — a 157% increase compared to a year earlier, foreign media write, according to Telegraph.
Although Tesla surpassed Volkswagen in March sales (27,828 versus 25,544), the overall trend is not positive.
And with growing competition from VW and BMW and public sentiment increasingly critical of Elon Musk, Tesla is facing serious challenges ahead of its financial report. /Telegraph/
