Unlike Ziadin Sela, who left the DUI-led National Alliance for Integration, the head of another wing of the Alliance for Albanians, Arben Taravari, says he remains part of the AKI.

In fact, Taravari says that he and ASH are continuing as AKI and also says that he expects "good reforms" at the DUI Congress that is scheduled to be held next December.

At the same time, he rejects the possibility of DUI presenting their candidate for mayor of Gostivar in the repeat elections, which will be held in early 2026, as the census was not achieved in the first round of the past local elections.

He says that there is an agreement that the joint candidate of the ASH and DUI will again be the current incumbent chairman, Valbon Limani, who in fact succeeded Taravar in this position, after he was elected Minister of Health.

"We have an agreement, the joint candidate for Gostivar will be Valbon Limani, who won with 17.000 votes against 4.200 and was only 21 votes short of reaching the census. This issue has been resolved a long time ago," Taravari tells "Fokus".

He emphasizes that if the victory in Gostivar was 4:1 in the first round, the difference in favor of his candidate Isen Shabani was even greater in the municipality of Vrapçisht, where repeated elections will be held due to the census, along with 2 other municipalities, Qendër Zhup and Mavrovo. /Telegraph/
