The police have solved the incident that occurred the day before in Kamëz, where explosives were placed at a business in the area.

Three people have been arrested in connection with this incident, including Jeton Lami, the former police officer who last accompanied Ervis Martinaj before he disappeared.

As part of the operation codenamed 'Motivi', citizens Florin Domi and Flogert Mezhika were also arrested, while citizen Ervis Lami was declared wanted.

Ervis Lami was previously wanted for the murder of postman Lulzim Visha in January of this year.

"Investigations suspect that these citizens threw explosives at the exterior facade of the business, causing material damage, due to the failure to pay an amount of 500,000 euros, demanded as a fine against the owner of the facility, citizen S. S," the police announced.

Former police officer Jeton Lami was released from prison 1 year ago after being sentenced for "Abuse of office" to 2 years and 10 months in prison.

On August 5, 2022, Jeton Lami was driving an Audi-A8 vehicle with foreign license plates and accompanied the wanted man from Tirana to a hotel in Durrës.

According to the statements given, before the disappearance, Lami said that Ervis Martinaj used the Telegram application to communicate, but was also a user of the 'King Simba' profile on the social network Instagram, with his lion profile picture.

According to investigations, police specialist Jeton Lami was the last person to accompany wanted Ervis Martinaj between August 5 and 6, 2022. His statements do not appear to have helped the investigation team establish what may have happened to the much-wanted Martinaj. /euronews/
