The recount process of half of the polling stations for the early parliamentary elections of December 28 has brought noticeable changes in the number of votes of candidates for deputies.

According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), almost half of the polling stations have been counted, out of a total of 914 that were included in the verification process.

With the polling stations recounted so far, the differences in the votes of candidates within political parties are pronounced. The municipality that appears to be most affected by these discrepancies is Prizren, where 145 out of 169 boxes dedicated for verification have been recounted, or 85.80 percent of them.

CEC data shows that there are vote discrepancies in almost all political parties in Prizren, but in some cases the differences amount to thousands of votes for just one candidate, reports Telegrafi.

In the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV), the candidate who appears to have benefited the most from the initial count is Arbër Rexhaj, who after the recount has 439 fewer votes. He is followed by Rea Krasniqi with 402 fewer votes, Valon Ramadani with 308 fewer votes, and Dafina Alishani with 250 fewer votes.

In the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), the differences are even deeper.

Fetah Paçarizi results with 4,006 fewer votes after the recount, while Nait Hasani has lost 2,213 votes. Kujtim Gashi has 1,551 fewer votes, while Arianit Çollaku has 1,397 fewer votes.

Significant changes have also been observed in the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). Candidate Xhavit Uka after the recount has 1,020 fewer votes, Driton Selmanaj 757 fewer votes, Anton Quni 412 fewer votes, while Visar Azemi 321 fewer votes.
