Supercomputer updates predictions after draw – reveals each team's chances of winning the Champions League

Artificial Intelligence, or more precisely Opta's supercomputer, has updated each team's chances of winning the Champions League trophy in the 2024/25 edition, and there are some teams that have seen increases, but also decreases in percentage.

According to his supercomputer Opta, the favorite team to win the Champions League this season is Liverpool with a 17.2% chance, down from 20.2% before the draw.

Barcelona's chances of winning the trophy have gone from 12.7% to 15.4% after the draw and the rest of the matches leading up to the final, as they are the team that has seen the biggest improvement in its prediction out of the 16 teams that participated.

This update also helps them overtake Arsenal, who are in third place with a 13.6% chance, and distance themselves from Inter who now have a 12.7% chance of winning the trophy.

Supercomputer trusts Real Madrid more than Atletico

The options for Real Madrid and Atletico have also changed after the match they are scheduled to face in the round of 1.

Opta's supercomputer estimates that, after the draw, Carlo Ancelotti's men have improved their odds from 10.5% to 11.6%, while Diego Simeone's team's figures have dropped from 3.8% to 2.9%.
