The Struga Municipal Council approved the decision, which exempts citizens from paying water bills for the month of February.
This step comes after the city and its settlements were left without clean water for a month, due to the turbidity of the springs in the village of Shum.
The OBRM-PDUKM and VLEN councilors abstained.
The reasoning of OBRM-PDUKM was that this decision would further worsen the financial situation of the "Water Supply and Sewerage" enterprise.
The initiative to place this item on the agenda, which came from the SDSM councilor, states that the municipality should assume the obligations for water bills for the month of February.
