The Pristina Airport Border Police has informed passengers that due to the general strike of operations employees at German airports, flights to German airports are expected to be canceled today.

Cancellations may occur where there are direct lines from "Adem Jashari" International Airport.


Due to this situation, travelers with flights to German destinations may face delays or cancellations.

"Important announcement from the Border Police at the "Adem Jashari" International Airport. We inform you that due to the general strike of operations employees at German airports, flights to German airports where we have direct lines are expected to be canceled today," the announcement states.

A one-day strike by workers at 13 German airports, including the hubs of Frankfurt and Munich and all other major destinations in the country, has caused the cancellation of most flights on Monday, March 10.

More than half a million people could face travel disruptions today across the country, with more than 3,400 expected flight cancellations, according to the German Airports Association ADV, foreign media write, reports Telegraph.

Passengers have been asked not to travel to airports and have been advised to contact their airline or tour operator for information regarding rebooking or alternative travel options.

The strike by the service workers' union ver.di targeted the airports of Hamburg, Bremen, Hanover, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Cologne/Bonn, Leipzig/Halle, Stuttgart and Munich. /Telegraph/
