Stavileci: PDK has received over 200 thousand votes, the result shows that citizens are seeking a new government

The campaign spokesman for the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Blerand Stavileci, has stated that this party has been confirmed as the second largest political force in the country, with over 200 votes won.

During a press conference, Stavileci praised this result as an undeniable success for PDK and a powerful message for the future of the country.

"Tonight we are in an unusual situation, when we, as a political party, must tell you and the citizens about our vote, and not the CEC, as it should be. However, we are now before you to share a clear message: the Democratic Party of Kosovo has achieved a great result.

"PDK has been confirmed as the second largest political force in the country, with over 200 thousand votes. This is PDK's best result in many years and a clear proof of citizens' trust in our vision for Kosovo. We thank from the bottom of our hearts every citizen who believed and voted for the Democratic Party of Kosovo and for our candidate for Prime Minister, Bedri Hamza," he said.

Stavileci emphasized that the commitment to a better Kosovo has already begun, as the election result clearly shows that citizens want a new government.

"What we have seen in this process is clear: the majority of citizens have turned their backs on this government. The result shows that they are looking for a new government, a different government. Our citizens, with their vote, showed that they believe that Kosovo can do better. Now we are entering a new phase.

In the coming days, with the finalization of the official results, our President Memli Krasniqi and the candidate for Prime Minister, Bedri Hamza, will come out with their position on the next steps. We are happy with this result and motivated to move forward with the trust you have placed in us. The electoral process has shown once again that Kosovo can and must do better – both in the management and counting of votes, and in the governance of the country”, he emphasized.
