Starting tomorrow, a ban on taking out waste after 22:00 PM will come into effect, a measure that the City of Skopje took with the aim of establishing order in waste management and preventing misuse of containers.

The inspection will be carried out by municipal inspectors and guards, who will work in three shifts, i.e. 24 hours, starting tomorrow.
The city has 20 municipal inspectors and 20 municipal guards, who will be constantly on the ground. The main goal of the action, as stated by the authorities, is to determine where legal entities and food service institutions are dumping their waste.
"Immediately after the publication of the decision tomorrow in the Official Gazette, the inspectors will adopt a new three-shift work schedule. All municipal inspectors and municipal guards will be involved, who will determine the violations on the spot," the new director of "Municipal Hygiene", Dragi Mitkovski, told TV Sitel.

He explained that if a larger amount of waste is found, a more detailed inspection of legal entities will follow. The fine for individuals remains 50 euros, and for legal entities it ranges from 1.300 to 1.800 euros.

The aim of the measure is for food service institutions and companies to stop overfilling containers intended for families and for waste to be collected more efficiently and in a timely manner.
