Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Spiropali: Baca Haxhi, instead of Hashim, we have all come to see you off from Albania and Albanianness.

An institutional delegation from Albania came to Skenderaj to offer condolences on the occasion of the death of Haxhi Thaçi, the father of former President Hashim Thaçi.

This delegation is composed of the Speaker of the Albanian Parliament Elisa Spiropali, the Minister of Diaspora, Taulant Balla, the Ambassador of Albania to Kosovo Petrit Malaj, the wife of Prime Minister Edi Rama, Linda Rama, and the former Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Gramos Ruçi.

The Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, in her speech mentioned the absence of former president Hashim Thaçi at his father's funeral.

"Honorable Hashim, we miss you in following your father, because the political and national injustices of your imprisonment and those of other fighters were today added to a human and moral injustice. Haxhi Thaçi is an example of how a simple man can become a great patriot. This is possible when the wisdom, humanity, honesty, strong ties with people and the daily dedication of a seemingly ordinary man multiply, illuminating in the dedication and sacrifices for the homeland, the nation and the people," said Spiropali.

She said that in the absence of Hashim Thaçi, all of Albania has come to accompany Haxhi Thaçi.

"Baca Haxhi, instead of Hashim, we have all come to accompany you, from Albania and Albanianness. I have also brought you a hand from the soil of Albania," said Spiropali. /Telegrafi/
