Spasovski: Leaders' meeting had more of a "PR" effect than substantial results

SDSM MP Oliver Spasovski today commented on yesterday's meeting of leaders and the absence of SDSM leader Venko Filipçe.
Spasovski on "Click Plus" assessed that the meeting had more of a "PR" effect than substantial results.
"If we look at the results of the leaders' meeting, we can conclude that it was an extraordinary PR effect for the majority. Mickoski, as the leader of OBRM-PDUKM and Prime Minister, made the right decision, which the opposition should have made," he said.
He added that the meeting did not address the most important issues for citizens, but focused on "peripheral topics" such as elections, the electoral code, technical government.
Spasovski emphasized that these topics can be discussed within the Assembly and parliamentary groups, without the need for a broad meeting of leaders.
"It was highly anticipated that the leaders' meeting would be held with all parliamentary parties and then the reform agenda, improving institutions and strengthening citizens' trust in the system would be openly discussed. We should have had a real dialogue about reforms, institutional changes and the country's European path," Spasovski added. /Telegraph/
