MP from the ranks of OBRM-PDUKM, Emil Spasovski, in the debate in the committee, praised the 2026 Budget Proposal as extremely developmental with strong social components.

He emphasized that the goal is to accelerate economic growth and implement fiscal consolidation through strong financial discipline, while emphasizing that the biggest driver of growth will be gross investments.

"Positive developments are expected in 2026 and economic growth is expected to accelerate by 3,8%, as a result of increased investments and the subsequent decline in the unemployment rate to a historically low level of around 10%, an increase in pensions and wages, as well as a solid increase in private consumption. The largest contribution to growth in 2026 is expected to come from gross investments, through the implementation of large state-funded infrastructure projects, in road and railway infrastructure, mainly Corridors 8 and 10D, as well as projects in energy, agriculture, education and healthcare," said Spasovski.

MP Spasovski spoke about several projects that are of key importance for the development of the region and particularly important for the municipality of Kriva Palanka, emphasizing that capital investments in municipalities will improve the living conditions of citizens.

"An additional incentive for gross investments will be the support of municipalities for the implementation of capital investments aimed at balanced regional development and improving the standard of living of citizens. An important item in the Budget Proposal is capital expenditures, where capital projects participate with about 9,8% of the projected budget, respectively they are projected in the amount of 660 million euros. From these funds, infrastructure and energy projects will be implemented, capital projects in the field of communication, municipal and local infrastructure. The western part of Corridor 8 will be financed, the construction of the railway as part of Corridor 8, where the first section from Kumanovo to Bellakoca has been put into operation, intensive work is being done on the second section from Bellakoca to Kriva Palanka for which funds have been provided, and the third section from Kriva Palanka to Deve Bair", said Spasovski.
