Shkëndija maintains lead, Struga stops Sileks

Week 29 in the First League of North Macedonia brought no changes at the top of the table, as Shkëndija and Sileksi, the two title rivals, drew their matches and maintained their four-point difference unchanged, reports Telegrafi.

In the Albanian derby of the week, in Tetovo, Shkëndija and Shkupi were drawn in a spectacular 3-3 draw. The match was characterized by three own goals, but also beautiful goals, with Shkëndija that, despite returning to the match after a two-goal deficit, failed to take more than one point.

On the other hand, Sileksi did not take advantage of the leader's false step, drawing goalless (0-0) in the duel against Struga. This result means that four weeks before the end of the championship, Shkëndija remains with a not very comfortable lead of four points.

In the duel between Gostivar and Rabotnicki, which took place at the “Boris Trajkovski” stadium in the Madzhari neighborhood of Skopje, another negative episode was recorded. After a reversal in the score (from 1-0 to 1-2 for Rabotnicki), the Gostivar management ordered the players to leave the field, not finishing the match. The Gostivar club, through an official reaction on social networks, emphasized that:

"The incident that happened is not against our opponent Rabotnicki. Our reaction is against the match referee, Igor Stojchevski! This referee is known for scandalous match management and is not wanted by any team. As for the FFM statement, every sentence of it will receive a response ONE BY ONE. As we said at the press conference yesterday, we are clean, there is nothing we cannot clarify!" - said the statement of FC Gostivar.

In other matches, Vardar defeated Besa e Dobërdollit with a score of 3-1, Pelister secured an important victory for survival by defeating Tikvesh 1-0. Meanwhile, the match AP Brera – Voska Sportit was registered with an official score of 3-0, as the duel did not take place due to the latter's withdrawal from the championship. /Telegraph/
