Spanish Football Federation open to moving El Clasico abroad

The biggest Spanish derby between Barcelona and Real Madrid, known as El Clasico, could be played outside Spain this season due to delays in completing the renovation of the Camp Nou stadium.

According to the newspaper SportThe Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) is reportedly open to Barcelona's proposal to stage El Clasico abroad.

Due to delays in the reconstruction of Camp Nou, Barcelona may not have the stadium ready until May 11.

As a result, the club is considering moving the match to an international venue.

While Barcelona remain focused on completing the Camp Nou on time, they are also preparing contingency plans. The RFEF is said to be open to the idea.

Barcelona's plans depend on securing approval from the RFEF and La Liga.

The Spanish Federation is said to be not against the proposal, which would mark a significant change for the iconic match. /Telegraph/
