Snowfall returns to the southeast of Albania

Snowfall returns to the mountainous areas in the southeast of the country. Over 5 centimeters of snow fell in Dardha during the night, while the snowfall also started in Voskopoja and Qafa e Qarri.

Currently, work is being done to clean the axes. The situation seems under control and no problems are reported.

In a statement for Euronews Albania, meteorologist Lajda Porja said that starting from Friday, the temperatures will drop significantly, going down to -5 degrees Celsius.


"Friday there will be a drop in temperatures and in the morning this will bring snowfall in the mountainous areas. On Friday, we will have a decrease, making the weekend to have -5, -6 degrees Celsius in the northeastern areas, and the maximum from 19 today will be no more than 12 degrees," said Porja.

Meanwhile, the General Maritime Directorate has warned that there will be a worsening of the maritime situation.

According to the meteorologist, the wind will go up to 80 km per hour, in the open sea. /Telegraph/
