A person was arrested in the early hours of Saturday in Mitrovica, on suspicion of assaulting an official.
According to the police report, the incident occurred at around 02:07 on "Shala e Bajgorës" street, at the entrance to the customs terminal.
The suspect, a Kosovar male, is suspected of not having followed the orders of police officers and continued driving in the direction of Pristina, injuring two police officers.
The injured police officers have received medical treatment.
According to the police, the suspect was initially detained after smuggled tobacco was found in his vehicle with local license plates, for which he was ordered to report to the customs terminal.
By decision of the prosecutor, the suspect has been taken into custody, while the case is being investigated. /Telegraph/
