Councilor of Siljanovska, Zhidas Daskalovski has Bulgarian citizenship

The open opponent of the inclusion of Bulgarians in the Constitution of North Macedonia, Zhidas Daskalovski, has been a citizen of Bulgaria for more than 20 years, he announces "BGNES".

Daskalovski is a foreign policy adviser to President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova. He received the Bulgarian citizenship of Bulgarian origin in 2003, while he renewed his passport in 2022.

In the last decade, the Macedonian professor used different definitions for Bulgaria from "big brother" to "conqueror". Before signing the Agreement for Good Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation (2017), Daskalovski spoke of the Bulgarians as a "stab in the back for Macedonia", threats of vetoes, etc. Today he defends Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski's idea of the so-called "constitutional changes with delayed effect".

"There is nothing wrong in the constitution to have Bulgarians, Montenegrins, Croats, but let's do it in such a way that we don't lie, like we did with Greece, when Zoran Zaev's government signed an agreement that was supposed to open the doors, but didn't opened them. According to this logic, let's be careful, make the entry with the so-called delayed action", says Daskalovski./Telegrafi/
