President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, as part of her participation in the World Government Summit in Dubai, met with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.

The Presidency says that during the meeting, Siljanovska-Davkova expressed gratitude for the hospitality and the opportunity to participate in the summit, assessing it as an extremely important platform for addressing global and regional challenges and for developing an important dialogue with prominent leaders and partners from around the world. The focus of the conversation, as announced by Siljanovska-Davkova's Cabinet, was the prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation and the need to improve the legal framework was emphasized.


"The President welcomed the establishment of a visa-free regime between the two countries, assessing this as an excellent opportunity to facilitate general communication between the two societies. She expressed her belief that the meeting, which takes place before the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states, will provide a strong impetus to the further development of cooperation between them. The two interlocutors exchanged views on current global issues and the importance of efforts to resolve existing conflicts. In this context, the President welcomed the constructive and responsible role of the United Arab Emirates, which is based on the principles of peace and tolerance," the Presidency said.
