Lenny the cat at an animal shelter holds the title of "saddest cat," but new owner Annette Bammert has shared an incredible video showing how he transformed from a broken and withdrawn cat into a happy and playful companion.
Annette adopted this black and white cat after Christmas last year, shortly after her beloved cat Wilma had died.
The video posted on Instagram, which has over 175 views, shows Lenny's journey - from a state of sadness to a confident, loving cat closely bonded with his new owner.
When Annette first saw Lenny at the shelter, he was locked in a separate room because he didn't get along well with the other cats, and the sight of him almost broke her heart.
At first he would hide for days and not want to be touched, but with time, patience, and care, he completely changed.
Today, Lenny is a bold and playful cat — even climbing tall trees and constantly seeking human closeness. His transformation is evident in both his behavior and facial expression, showing that he is truly happy in his new home. /Telegraph/
