"Sex And The City" star Chris Noth is accused of sexual assault by two women

Sex And The City star Chris Noth has been accused of sexual assault by two women - one of whom claims she needed stitches after he raped her in his apartment in 2004, when he was 49 and she was alone 22.
The allegations against the American actor, now 67, were detailed in a new report from The Hollywood Reporter published on Thursday. Dailymail.
According to the publication, Noth's two accusers — who do not know each other — approached THR separately and in different months with their allegations against the actor, who has vehemently denied the allegations.
Both women, who used the pseudonyms Zoe, now 40, and Lily, now 31, claim Noth had sex with them from behind in front of a mirror, with the first attack allegedly taking place in 2004, while the second reportedly occurred in 2015, three years after Noth married his wife, Tara Wilson, with whom he has two children.
Both women also allege that the attacks occurred at one of Noth's homes - the first at his Los Angeles apartment and the second at his New York property - after the actor invited them.
The first, Zoe, said she visited the actor's West Hollywood home to return a book he had lent her, while the second said she returned to Noth's Greenwich Village apartment after a meeting, when he invited her to look at his book and whiskey collection.
Both women claim that recent publicity surrounding the Sex And The City reboot - and the like - 'brought up painful memories' of their encounters with Noth, who has been heavily in the news over the past week as a result of the shocking death of his character, Mr Big, in the first episode of the new series.
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Noth, who has two sons with his wife Wilson - Keats and Orion - admitted to having 'consensual encounters' with the two women, but he vehemently denied any allegations that he assaulted them.
"The accusations against me made by individuals I have met years, even decades ago are categorically false," the statement said.
“These stories could have been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago – no always means no – that's a line I didn't cross. The meetings were consensual," he said.
"It's hard not to question the timing of these stories. I don't know for sure why they are coming to the surface now, but I do know this: I did not attack these women", he further emphasized.
The two women told THR that recent publicity surrounding the release of the “Sex And The City” sequel — and Noth’s resurgence as a high-profile star — “triggered” them going public with their allegations.
Zoe says she first met Noth while working 'in an entry-level position at a high-profile firm where Noth and other celebrities regularly did business' in 2004. She claims the actor - who was then at the height of his "Sex And The City" fame - began flirting with her in the office.
At the time, Noth had been dating his now-wife Wilson for three years; the couple began their relationship in 2001 after first meeting at The Cutting Room, a New York jazz club owned by the actor, where Wilson worked as a bartender.
However, according to Zoe, the actor began leaving 'flirtatious' messages on her voicemail - which her boss warned her about.
Speaking to THR, the boss confirmed she was aware of the messages, saying it was strange that the actor would contact her much younger employee, but she insists she wasn't bothered by them at all. /Telegraph/
