Kosovo Police have announced that a serious traffic accident occurred in the morning hours in Loxha, Peja, resulting in the death of one person.
The news was confirmed to the Telegraph by the Kosovo Police spokesman for the Peja region, Driton Rugova.
"Today at around 07:50, the Police were notified of a traffic accident in the village of Loxhë, Peja, involving two vehicles and as a result, in addition to significant material damage, two people were injured and were sent for medical treatment. The medical team determined that one of the injured could not cope with her injuries and passed away," Rugova said.
Meanwhile, Peja Hospital reports that the other person is being treated and is currently in stable condition, out of danger to his life.
By order of the State Prosecutor, who was also at the scene, the victim's lifeless body was sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Pristina for an autopsy, while the case is being investigated by accident investigators. /Telegrafi/
