In the village of Rakinica in Podujevo, armed Serbian gendarmerie soldiers have crossed the border into Kosovo territory.

The information that Serbian gendarmerie entered northern Kosovo territory, kidnapped a citizen, and fled has been met with numerous reactions from the President and other state officials in recent days.

But this is not the only time that Serbian forces have recently crossed into Kosovo.

Dukagjini has had a video since mid-October of Serbian forces entering the country from the northeast, precisely in the village of Rakinica, near Orllani in Podujevo.

But the television has been waiting for confirmation on the case from the Kosovo Police, to whom questions have been addressed since October 20 and there is still no answer.

However, the entire incident was confirmed by the NATO mission in Kosovo, KFOR.

“We are aware of this event on October 15. We were in contact with the Serbian Armed Forces. Based on their information, Serbian gendarmerie personnel were pursuing individuals involved in illegal logging activities. As soon as they realized that they had crossed the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL), they immediately returned to the Serbian side of the Administrative Boundary Line.”

The television also communicated with the residents of that area and those who filmed, but they did not want to comment, except to confirm that Serbian soldiers confiscated one of their tractors.

Their claims are that Serbian forces also insulted and cursed them during this confrontation.

In addition to the Kosovo Police, which has not responded, the television has also requested a reaction from the Ministry of Interior and information on whether security institutions were aware of the case, but this institution has not responded either.

The police are the first security responders in the country and KFOR is the third, although the NATO mission is responsible for border security between Kosovo and Serbia.
