Serbian Ministry Cancels Kosovo Government's Decision to Subsidize Valley Farmers

The Ministry for Human Rights and Dialogue in Serbia has canceled the decision to distribute subsidies to farmers in the Valley, subsidies that are financed by the Government of Kosovo.

This was announced by the chairman of the Albanian National Council, Enkel Rexhepi.

Rexhepi said that this is another act of constant discrimination that happens to Albanians.

"The Ministry has canceled the decision to distribute subsidies to farmers, financed by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo. This is another act of constant discrimination, in every sphere, that happens to Albanians of the Presheva Valley," Rexhepi wrote.

He emphasized that the municipalities of Preševo and Bujanovac continue to be the poorest in Serbia.

"The municipalities of Preševo and Bujanovac continue to be among the poorest in Serbia, and the Government is continuing, let alone taking any steps towards improving the situation, it is also blocking those processes that we are trying to undertake together with the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and in supporting development in the Valley", the president of the Albanian National Council further emphasized.

Representatives of the Presevo Valley have filed a lawsuit against this decision.

"Regarding this, we have filed a lawsuit against the decision in the Administrative Court and we expect a fair decision. If there is even a little justice in Serbia, this decision should be reversed and our farmers should benefit from this amount. The fight for our rights does not stop!", Rexhepi emphasized. /Telegrafi/
