The Vetëvendosje Movement has filed an appeal with the Supreme Court, requesting the cancellation of around 19 LDK votes received by mail, claiming that they were manipulated.
The Vetëvendosje Movement, through a statement, says that they are convinced and "proving with indisputable facts and evidence the criminal scheme of manipulating votes through the mail, today, within the legal deadline, has submitted its appeal to the Supreme Court regarding this process."
"The VETËVENDOSJE! Movement once again demands the cancellation of 18.933 LDK votes received in a manipulated manner, re-voting by mail and the removal from the list of candidates who have received incomparably more votes through postal voting than at polling stations in Kosovo and their non-replacement with other LDK members," the LVV statement reads, as reported by Telegrafi.
LVV says that "only through the acceptance of our complaint can the legitimacy of elections in Kosovo be restored."
"The facts have proven an industrial theft of votes and we expect the Supreme Court to correct the unjust decision of the ECAP and make the appropriate decision to prevent such a precedent in the future," the announcement states.
The Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP) two days ago dismissed as unfounded the complaints of the political entities Vetevendosje Movement, Democratic Party of Kosovo and PDAK-LPB.
in decision The ECAP is said to have dismissed as unfounded the complaint of the Vetëvendosje Movement against the final election results, with which it requested the cancellation of the results of the postal votes for the Democratic League of Kosovo and its candidates, precisely 18 thousand 933 votes.
On March 15, the Central Election Commission announced the final results for the February 9 elections, but only after the deadlines for appeals to the Supreme Court have expired can the Commission certify the election results – paving the way for the formation of new institutions.
According to the final result, LVV leads with over 390,000 votes or 42.30 percent.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) came in second with over 190.000 votes, or 20.95 percent, followed by the LDK with over 170.000 votes, or 18.27 percent.
In fourth place is the coalition between the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and the Social Democratic Initiative with over 66.000 votes or 7.06 percent.
The Serbian List – the largest Serb party in Kosovo – secured over 39,000 votes or 4.26 percent.
With these percentages, LVV has secured 48 seats in the Kosovo Assembly, PDK, 24, LDK, 20 seats, Serbian Lista nine seats and the AAK-Nisma coalition, eight seats./Telegraph/
