Fatmir Sheholli has been transferred in serious health condition from the Hospital Center in Gjilan to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCK) in Pristina.

The news was confirmed to RTK by his defense attorney, Mentor Neziri, who said that Sheholli is currently undergoing the necessary medical examinations.

Sheholli was arrested by police investigators of the Directorate for the Investigation of Serious Crimes, by order of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, on suspicion of involvement in the criminal offense of "espionage", based on Article 124, paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.

Meanwhile, the Basic Court in Pristina has ordered him to be detained for 30 days, at the request of the Special Prosecution Office.

According to the Prosecution's file, Sheholli is suspected of having been recruited by the Serbian Intelligence Service (BIA) and acting under the orders and instructions of BIA official Bojan Dimić.

The indictment states that he collected information on the usurped properties of Serbs in Kosovo and forwarded it through telephone communications to Serbian intelligence officials.

Also, on September 26, 2025, in North Mitrovica, Sheholli is suspected of having obtained audio materials and transcripts of conversations of officials of the Ministry for Communities and Returns, which are suspected of being compromising.

The prosecution emphasizes that, through these actions, Sheholli knowingly and intentionally violated the security and legal order of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as the integrity of its officials and citizens, by assisting a foreign intelligence service to the detriment of state interests.
