Scary moment in the Udinese-Milan match: Maignan left on a stretcher after a strong collision

Mike Maignan had to be taken off on a stretcher after a disturbing incident at the 'Bluenergy' stadium during the match between Udinese and Milan on Friday night.

The cause was a nasty head-on collision with teammate Alex Jimenez.

10 minutes into the second half, Maignan rushed out of his area in an attempt to clear a Udinese pass, but took his teammate Alex Jimenez with him in the process, with the pair suffering a nasty head-on collision.

Maignan appeared to lose consciousness for a short time. Play was immediately stopped, despite the fact that Udinese had an open goal.

Barela was immediately called upon and Maignan briefly rolled onto his side in the recovery position, before being carried off the field.

Milan immediately confirmed in an official statement that Maignan was conscious when he left the field.Telegraph/
