Saudi Arabia opens its doors to Albanians: Come and you will not be disappointed

The Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, Teufik bin Feuzan bin Rebiah, visited Albania to strengthen relations between the two countries and to facilitate the visit processes for Albanian citizens.

In an interview with A2 CNN, he highlighted the improvements in visa procedures, which can now be completed electronically in minutes or collected upon arrival.

Hajj pilgrims' experience at the holy places of Mecca and Medina has been enhanced thanks to major infrastructure projects, including the expansion of the Kaaba, the development of the "Nusuk" app to facilitate reservations, and the connection of Mecca and Medina with a high-speed train.

"In the past, visas from Albania to Saudi Arabia required longer procedures and several days, also the citizen had to apply long before arriving in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Now, anyone can apply electronically and the visa is issued within minutes. Or, one can apply for a visa on arrival, which option is also available. As a result, we have noticed an increase in the number of visitors from Saudi Arabia to Albania and vice versa".

"Also, regarding the visit of Albanian citizens to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially in Mecca and Medina, we take care that the visit is a special experience. Currently, there are a number of historical, touristic places and museums that have been developed and restored and that have been made available to visitors from Albania, either in Mecca or Medina", stated Teufik bin Feuzan bin Rebiah.

Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 program aims to increase the number of pilgrims and provide an improved experience for all visitors.
