Samsung raises prices for new phones - the reason is already known

Samsung is expected to introduce its newest phone in the Galaxy S22 series in a few weeks, and in the meantime, new rumors about these devices have appeared.
The latest reports, coming from South Korea, indicate that the Galaxy S22 series will be priced higher than expected.
The reason for the price increase is the global shortage of chips.
The prices of some important components rose by 30 to 40 percent, while the prices of power and sensor chips rose by 10 to 15 percent.
Reports suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S22 could have a starting price of $899, which is about $100 more than its predecessor.
On the other hand, some reports suggest that Samsung will continue to keep the same prices as the Galaxy S21 series, due to increased competition from Apple and Chinese brands.
Samsung is expected to launch three phones - the Galaxy S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra. They will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and Samsung's Exynos 2200, depending on the region. /Telegraph/
