The leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, has reacted harshly after Prime Minister Edi Rama's visit to Kosovo, describing him as a "fierce enemy of Kosovo, of the freedom and dignity of its citizens."

In a statement published on social networks, Berisha said that Rama, through his stances and actions, has damaged the sovereignty and leadership of Kosovo.

According to him, Rama's expressed support for former Kosovo political leaders who are being tried at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague is insincere and constitutes an "act of hypocrisy."

Berisha stated that he had previously opposed the claims of the prosecutors of this court, which he described as influenced by Serbian propaganda.

He added that Kosovo's former political leaders were NATO allies during the war, but claimed that one of the reasons for their presence in The Hague is related to "shameful bargains" that, according to him, Rama made in Belgrade.

According to Berisha, Rama's positions at the Council of Europe have also damaged the position of the former leaders in the judicial process, creating, as he put it, an unfavorable climate for them.

At the end of his reaction, Berisha emphasized that former political leaders of Kosovo have made an important contribution to protecting citizens during the war and called on judges in The Hague to decide on the basis of the law and declare their innocence. /Telegraph/
