The 25-year-old from Prekazi i Skënderaj, Sala Jashari, has joined the Democratic Party of Kosovo today.
The accession was announced by PDK chairman Memli Krasniqi himself through a post on Facebook.
"She proudly bears the name of her grandmother, heroine Sala Jashari, mother of two outstanding generals of our liberation war, Sahit and Musa Jashari from Prekazi of our national glory. With Sala as a candidate on our list for deputies, and other young people who will join us on the way, PDK will be richer and more powerful for the next elections", announced the chairman of PDK, Memli Krasniqi.
Meanwhile, for her part, Sala Jashari has said that her journey towards this decision has been shaped by the legacy of the family, which dedicated itself with heart and soul to the noble ideal of liberation and state building of Kosovo.
"I chose to take this step as my first act, motivated by the moral obligation to serve the country and our citizens. To honor the sacrifices of those who came before me. The Democratic Party of Kosovo embodies these principles - which aims to build a brighter future for all of us", said Sala Jashari./Telegrafi/
