Sadiki-Shaini: Hooliganism during the KF Shkëndija–Haraçinë and KF Pobeda match in Prilep is unacceptable
Deputy Minister of Sports, Safije Sadiki Shaini, has condemned the shameful behavior of Prilep fans, where in today's match with Shkëndija e Haraçinës there were provocations and chants in Macedonian: "Good Albanian, dead Albanian" and "Gas chamber for Albanians."
"I strongly condemn any form of hooliganism and violent behavior in sports facilities. The events that occurred during the match between KF Shkëndija – Haraçinë and KF Pobeda in Prilep are unacceptable and seriously damage the image of sport as an activity that unites people and promotes mutual respect. I appeal to the competent institutions to take measures against any act of hooliganism, so that stadiums remain safe and respected places for athletes and fans of all communities," she declared.
Sadiki Shaini added that he will continue to promote zero tolerance towards violence and hate speech in sport, "returning it to where it belongs - in the service of peace, respect and unity."
