Sylejmani on the attack on the Ibër-Lepenci canal: Terrorist groups have changed their strategy

The former superior of the Kosovo Police, Rrahman Sylejmani, described the attack on the Ibër-Lepenc canal as one of the most serious, comparing it to the attack in Banjska.

According to him, the damage to critical infrastructure proves a strategic change of terrorist groups.

"It is the most serious attack, after the Banjska attack. This damage to the critical infrastructure shows that the terrorist groups, defeated after the intervention in Banjska, have changed their strategy and methods of action," Sylejmani told Tëvë1.

He warned that even though most of these groups have been declared wanted and are found outside Kosovo, they can return through illegal routes and still have supporters inside the country's territory.

Sylejmani emphasized that the violation of critical infrastructure constitutes a serious risk for the security of Kosovo, despite the fact that so far there have been no human victims.

"In the last 10 days we have had three similar attacks with explosive devices, and the damage is huge," he added.

These statements come at a time when Kosovo's security institutions are on alert after a series of attacks aimed at destabilizing the country and endangering the lives of citizens.
